At Wyldewood, our goal is to glorify God in all we do. For that reason, every ministry of our church is designed to reinforce of our PURPOSE and our MISSION.
Our Purpose is to glorify God through making disciples of Jesus Christ who will worship the Father and love one another in Spirit and in Truth.
Our Mission is to glorify God by obeying the Great Commandment Matthew 22:36-40 and the Great Commission Matthew 28:19-20.
Please take time to look at the various local and global ministries which God has given Wyldewood Baptist Church through the unique gifts, abilities, and backgrounds of its members.
Pulpit Ministry

“Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine.” – II Timothy 4:2

The truths of God’s Word are as vibrant, powerful, and relevant as they were first spoken by the mouths of the prophets and apostles. As a church which makes Biblical preaching a priority, Wyldewood boldly, accurately, and practically applies these truths to the 21st-century believer. We do not preach from the Word, we do not preach about the Word, we do not preach using the Word, we “preach the Word” with “all long-suffering and doctrine.” II Timothy 4:2 Come experience the power of a radical old idea – Biblical preaching.
WyldeLife & ConnecTeam

"Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood." – Acts 20:28

Your primary tools for accomplishing many of the opportunities to CONNECT, CONTRIBUTE, and CARE are the Wyldelife small groups, then, the ConnecTeam ministries. If you're already a member of a Wyldelife group, please prayerfully consider ConnecTeam as a vital part of your ministry to love God by loving people. If you'd like to join a Wyldelife group, please let us know here .
Getting together, visiting shut-ins, providing meals for the sick, sending a card with a kind word, encouraging children at the Ronald McDonald House of Toledo, and participating in various community outreach projects are only a few of the ways Wyldewood extends itself to those in need both within and outside the congregation. If you would like to be involved in these ministries, please let us know by emailing us  or contacting the church office (734.854.1611).

“And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.”
– II Timothy 2:2

The Word of God continually refers to the Christian life as a journey. Like any true adventure, there are the elements of discovery, danger, and reward. Those who choose to become a disciple of Jesus Christ need to be given the proper directions to stay on the path of righteousness, avoid the pitfalls, and be led to the reward of Christ-likeness. At Wyldewood, we believe God has called us to make disciples of all men. Whether you are new to the journey or have been wandering without a map, it is our prayer that every member of our ministry will find the directions they need for spiritual life and godliness through WyldeLife, one-on-one discipleship through interactive Bible study, and our services. Biblical discipleship reminds us that Christ was an advocate of quality not quantity.
Monroe County Youth Center (MCYC)

"And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming. If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him."
– 1 John 2:28-29

We have partnered with the Monroe County Youth Center to reach Monroe County youth who have passion, but are searching for purpose. Every Thursday Night on a monthly rotation, four-person teams spend and hour and a half with the youth doing activites onsite at the MCYC facility and sharing the word and life of Christ via our personal testimonies to them as the spirit gives utterance.
World Team Missions

“Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? Behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.”
– John 4:35

Wyldewood ever seeks to be in the midst of a Spirit-led metamorphosis in missions. We strive to be ever-transformed from missions-minded to missions-active to missions-consumed. A primary reason for our desire to grow is to increase our impact on the work of the Lord in the four corners of the earth. There is no better expenditure of resources in this life than giving to missions. See these links for more detailed information on how we do just that.
